My name is Kathie Lea, and I am the founder of The Kathie Team. I am so proud to say that my team is one of the top teams in Pinellas county closing over 1,350 homes! My experience and background includes over 20 years of listing and selling Real Estate in the Tampa Bay area including Waterfront, new home construction, certified buyers and selling agent, Short Sale Certified, Relocation, Single Family and Multi-family Investment specialist and residential Property Management.
I was born and raised in Southern, California and I have lived in Tennessee and Georgia and have made the Tampa Bay area my home for over 27 years. Having grown up in a military family and having relocated my family in the past, I have a great appreciation for what it is like to move into a new home in an unfamiliar area. We understand the importance of not only finding the right home, but also the right schools, employment, and neighborhoods. I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada and lived all across the Country from Nova Scotia, to Ontario and British Columbia before relocating to the United States in 1999. I have worked throughout the U.S., Europe, and China and then finally settled in Florida where I first lived in the Palm Beach area on the East Coast before falling in love with the West Coast and making beautiful Clearwater Beach, Florida my home. I attended Lambton, College and graduated with a Diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology. However, after college, I realized I preferred working with people and became a Consultant working for the world's largest management consulting firm Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture).
I am married and have 3 grown children, 2 grand kids and 2 very cute westies. I work with my wife and partner Kathie Lea and we run one of the top 1% of Real Estate Teams in the County based on sales volume. We enjoy helping clients realize their real estate dream. We pride ourselves in first understanding each client's needs whether they are selling or buying, and then doing our research and coming up with a plan designed to not only meet their expectations but to exceed them. We have built our business on word of mouth, one client at a time. In my real estate career, I have successfully negotiated tens of millions of dollars in properties during the toughest real estate market in many decades. I have a love for the water, I specialize in waterfront property, live on the water and I am a USCG Licensed Captain. I am also a licensed mortgage loan originator and the founder of SOHFF,LLC. We have helped hundreds of families avoid foreclosure by negotiating short sales and loan modifications. We have worked with investors to help them close on income producing properties and liquidate non-performing assets.

Heather joined the Kathie Lea Team as a buyer's agent in 2018. Born in Colorado Springs into a military family, her family moved around a lot. First to Georgia, then Alabama, then Florida then Tennessee. In Knoxville, TN she met her husband and was wed on the river where they worked as whitewater rafting guides. Over the next 13 years, she raised two amazing children, bought and sold diamonds for a television shopping network and traveled all over the world. (India and China were her favorite).
She then took a short break from the professional world to home school her children and considers this to be the most challenging job she ever held.
Heather has always considered Florida her "home" so in 2016 she moved her family back and decided to settle in St. Petersburg (it's closest to the beach).
When she is not enjoying the beach, you can find her camping, fishing, kayaking, vinyl record shopping or attending live concerts. She loves real estate because she can share her love of the Tampa Bay area with new clients.

I am originally from the Smokey mountains of Tennessee but have called the Tampa Bay area home for over 25 years! I am a single mother with an amazing son and daughter and my dog a pitt/boxer mix. Before real estate I worked in the medical field in Pediatrics traumatic brain injuries. Most my life my mother moved me around every year or two. I understand the struggles and stress that comes along with moving in the same state or state to state. Growing up I was an athlete in many sports, Swimming ( 4 x district champion and state finals) Track and field ( 4 x district champion), Competitive Dance team, Competitive Cheerleading, and basketball. I am a huge sports fan especially Football, Hockey and UFC. I grew up in the real estate business, my Mother Kathie Lea who is also the Team Lead has been doing Real estate most of my life.
